edeq builds and grows premium K-12 schools across Central, Southern, and Eastern Europe. We are raising capital from a small number of partners who share our conviction that education is among the most rewarding, and most enduring, places to put money to work.

The partners we are looking for…

We are selective about the schools we build, and just as selective about the partners we build them with. We build relationships with capital partners who are Aligned, Patient, and Committed.

Aligned: We treat education as a real asset with real responsibilities, entrusted with children and answerable to families. Our partners share that view, and understand that doing this well and doing it profitably are one undertaking rather than two competing ones.

Patient: Value in this sector is created over years, through the steady work of raising a school’s quality, reputation, and standing in its community. We look for capital that is content to compound across a full cycle rather than to churn.

Committed: Patience is no excuse for modest ambition. We are here because the evidence points to a segment that has rewarded committed owners, and we aim to earn a return that reflects the quality of the assets and the discipline of the operator.

Who we work with…

We are assembling a considered group of partners. We work with family offices, foundations and endowments, pension funds, and institutional investors who allocate to private markets and want focused, well-run exposure to education among their alternatives. We are especially glad to hear from partners with roots in, or knowledge of, Central, Southern and Eastern Europe, whose feel for the region complements our own and whose capital has a natural home in the schools we are building there.

Opportunity…

Private K-12 education has been one of the quieter successes of the private markets, compounding at high rates over nearly two decades while remaining largely beyond the reach of most investors. Central and South-Eastern Europe is where that opportunity is most alive today: a region of fine independent schools, rising incomes, and a structural shortage of premium places, and one where the families, the diaspora, and the wider market are ready for what edeq is building. We are raising capital to acquire and develop a portfolio of premium K-12 schools across Central and South-Eastern Europe.
